Welcome to the team, Dr. David Herold

We're delighted to announce that Dr. David Herold, MD, PhD, has joined Proseek Bio as our first Clinical Advisor.

It's a milestone moment for us. As we continue developing our blood test to help clinicians better assess suspicious ovarian masses, and work toward closing the diagnostic gap in women's health, having someone of David's calibre and experience guiding us is invaluable.

About Dr. David Herold

David brings decades of expertise in clinical pathology and mass spectrometry to our advisory board.

He is Emeritus Professor of Pathology at the University of California, San Diego, and Chief of Clinical Chemistry at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. His career has centred on the application of mass spectrometry to laboratory medicine, an area where he has become a genuine pioneer.

In 2007, David co-founded MSACL (Mass Spectrometry and Advances in the Clinical Lab), a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the use of mass spectrometry in clinical diagnostics. He now serves as its Executive Chair. Over the course of his career, he has authored more than 80 scientific publications and presented at numerous international conferences.

David holds an MD and PhD from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Clinical Pathology at the University of Virginia.
